Week Beginning 28th September

 

Our class Multiplication Challenge. การทดสอบแม่สูตรคูณ

It is important that Y5/Y6 have instant recall of all of their multiplication facts. The children are working on learning these and upon completion will receive an individual certificate. Children are learning at their own pace and can choose when they feel ready to be tested. This week    Eliza, Gerry and Daewa have completed the challenge. Our target is for the whole class to have completed during term 1. When the children are successful, we have planned a special class reward.

การที่นักเรียนต้องจำแม่สูตรคูณให้ได้นั้นสำคัญมาก และเด็กๆก็ตั้งใจฝึกท่องจำ โดยที่นักเรียนคนใดผ่านการทดสอบก็จะมีใบประกาศมอบให้ ซึ่งพวกเขาฝึกซ้อมในรูปแบบที่ตัวเองถนัดและสามารถเลือกเวลาที่จะทำการทดสอบได้เมื่อพวกเขาพร้อม เป้าหมายของเราคือนักเรียนทุกคนต้องผ่านการทดสอบภายในเทอม 1 และถ้าทุกคนผ่านการทดสอบหมด ครูจะมีรางวัลพิเศษให้

Our PY Assembly this week was all about INDEPENDENCE.

Assembly สัปดาห์นี้เกี่ยวกับความเป็นอิสระ(การที่สามารถทำอะไรได้ด้วยตนเอง)

 

The students cut up a tangram, mixed the pieces and tried to recreate the square independently. 

The Y1/Y2 students showed what they can do independently and challenged the other classes to complete a tangram challenge activity using shapes. Next week, Y5/Y6 will follow up with a second assembly on this theme which we shall publish on our blog.

We have just started a new unit of inquiry in which we will learn about human and animal migration.

เราเพิ่งเริ่มหน่วยการเรียนรู้ใหม่ ซึ่งเราจะเรียนรู้เกี่ยวกับการอพยพโยกย้ายถิ่นฐานของมนุษย์และสัตว์

As a starting point, we began by writing down what we already know about migration. We will return to these ideas towards the end of the unit to see how our thoughts have changed and developed having studied about migration in some detail.

We have been collecting some data on children's choice of snacks in PY.

We collected data for a whole week. In our Mathematics lessons, we will begin to analyse the information and display it in different formats such as Line graphs, block graphs, pictograms, Venn and Carrol diagrams and Pie Charts. We will be displaying our findings on a display board outside of our classroom.

We are making the final preparations for our End of Unit Showcase.

Due to the Covid restrictions, this will be online and we will send parents specific links next week so that they can view our learning.

Do remember that, learning the spellings are only one part of the home learning. It is most important that the children know what the word means and that they can use the word correctly in their own sentence. Parents are requested to support their children with this activity.

อย่าลืมว่าการเรียนรู้การสะกดเป็นเพียงส่วนหนึ่งของการเรียนรู้ที่บ้าน สิ่งสำคัญที่สุดคือเด็ก ๆ ต้องรู้ว่าคำนี้หมายความว่าอะไรและสามารถใช้คำนั้นได้อย่างถูกต้องตามความรู้สึกของตนเอง ขอให้ผู้ปกครองสนับสนุนบุตรหลานในกิจกรรมนี้ด้วย
